Although I,m not that familiar with the kit, from what you have described, the soldiers are wearing a reversible two colored winter uniform which was origionally issued to the Waffen SS during the winter of 43-44. They were White on one side and what has been described as "Mouse" Grey on the other. From the pictures I've seen, it was a two-piece uniform (hooded jacket and pants, both insulated) and usually worn with a pair of white boots which looked a lot like the White Sho-Pak boots the US Army issued for Artic wear from the Korean war until just a about 10 years ago. Also the same pictures would indicate the uniforms were worn in any of the four possible combinations of colors (All White, All Grey, Grey top w/White bottom, or White top w'Grey bottom). As a large percentage of the defenders of Budapest were Waffen SS, that probably what the kit represents.

I recently bought Warriors' "Defenders of Budapest' mini vignette. What colors would i paint the uniforms. they are a little odd. one seems to have a white coat and the other gray. Any help
