Hector;

Check the OSPREY series of books for references on all areas of World War II.

A specific reference from Osprey Military
ISBN: 1841760862 The US Army in World War II: Northwest Europe

Another from Fitzhenry & Whiteside
ISBN: 0811725952 U.S. Army Uniforms of World War II - by Shelby Stanton

The best single volume reference (IMHO) is a new book out

Government Issue Collector's Guide-US Army European Theater of Operations
Published By Histoire & Collection - Author - H. Enjames

It's a hard cover, large format, English text, 272 pages, hundreds of photos (most in color) and several organizational diagrams. The book is a collection of photos with detailed captions that reviews various items of clothing and equipment etc. issued to the American fighting man in Europe during WWII. Chapters include Uniforms, Invidual Equipment, Small Arms and Crew Served Weapons, Tentage etc.

To buy any of these "cheaper". Buy through a Canadian Website like www.amazon.ca and pay in Canadian Dollars.

I hope this helps you in the right direction.

Cheers;

Gregory
