HEY thanx for all the advice..... I will definately follow-up and post the "revised" dead dood sometime in the future.... I used Tamiya Acryllics for the whole thing except for MM demon red on the brickwork.

You can say that again, MM. If there is one thing that I have learned from from more than 30 years of model shows, judges don't like dead bodies. I leave them off entirely now. Black Eye [B)]
As for the fingers, if you don't want to bother rebuilding them, make the body look like it's been there a while. Put a little rubble on the body, covering the broken fingers, tone the blood to a dark red-brown and dust the whole thing to make it look as if it happened last week, instead of 10 minutes ago.

Agree that the blood looks a bit too bright, personally I would use a clear red like Tamiya or Gunze.
Apart from that I would go with the advice from gringe88.

One piece of advice though:
Blood like that I found to be ok for piece that you don't want to show publicly, for a competition entry I would either tone it down or skip it all together.

IME, there is a huge difference between building a model for yourself and one that ends up in a competition.

The figure as a whole looks neat a good start , as for the blood it looks pretty good , maybe a little on the bright side but not by much. What type of paint did you use and are you planning on giving it a wash and highlights?

the blood looks good to me. just right i think. as for the deformity, I'd attach the MP40, and then take some epoxy putty, or a reasonable faccimily, and reshape the fingers around the gun.

hope it helps!

I'm working on this resin German casualy when it took a short fall from the workbench and, as you can see, the fingers on one hand broke off......... So, I'm not really sure what to do except for attaching the MP40 shown to "hide" his deformity........

Also, while this figure is still not finished, I'd like some suggestions from the master figure painters and let me know if you think the blood is too much. I was going for realism, but may have overdone it. Sorry, the pic isn't the greatest........................

Thanx for the advice.
