Another excellent reference/tutorial is Shep Paines book on building dioramas. It covers the basics of painting faces very well. I think the second edition is still available.

This is not a topic that can be taught in a paragraph or two, this requires a book or a complete tutorial. Here is a link to some tutorials;

There are many more on several other modeling sites as well. I might recommend Osprey's Modelling Manual #9; Modelling WWII Figures as a good book to start with. ISBN: 1-84176-137-0.

Hi guys
Im a new member to this site, i just start building armored and military figures size 1/35 models, i just need a help, wats the best combination of paints to be used for the figures size 1/35? im not happy with the flesh thing only, coz ive seen some dioramas in the net,figures which is very accurate and detailed.
pls if some one could teach me how to do it on a step by step procedure? im using tamiya acrylic paints. i buys a lots of military figures and i have finish 4 boxes of dragons figures but im not happy with their faces? pls help me...im eager to learn the techniques...
