I think airfix had an old set of figures out that might fit the bill.

Some of the companies offer a 1/72 Luftwaffe ground crew. With a little work, you could convert them pretty easy.

Check Squadron. They carry some 1/72 figures for various vehicles and airplanes. They may have wat you are looking for.

Go to greatmodels.com and search for 1/72 german tank crew. They have something that might be what youy are looking for.

You may need to go with that. A 5 foot 8 person (tall for a tanker) would be .94 inch in 1/72 and .89 inch in 1/76, a 1/20 inch difference. Even if you had 1/72 infantry, the tank crew would average about 3 scale inches shorter. If they are in the tank, evan that wouldn't be noticeable.
