Has any one tried to paint CADPAT(Canadian) or MARPAT(American) on modern millitary figures? If so what method did you useand did it work?

The colours for CADPAT are olive drab,NATO brown, black, and a light forest green. For good refrence photo's go to www.cpgear.com and www.forces.gc.ca then english and then army then equipment and gear.

Then colours for MARPAT are olivedrab, black, and a light brown.
Any thing can be fixed with enough gun tape and para cord

good luck with that. It's probably impossible.

There was a post on the forum a while back on using salt to make the pattern. Do a search for MARPAT or digital uniform or something in that range.

I'd guess success at getting CADPAT too look right would have to do with the scale of the figure. 54mm or above you should be able to do some masking with small (and I mean tiny) squares of bare-metal foil.

Just a thought.

Sean -- 25mm OTOH would be nearly impossible....

There is an article on Armorama about painting MARPAT but he had to go to 1/16th scale to be able to see it.
