zeroenna, in the Men at Arms section there is a book on the Royal Air Force '39-'45.
I don't know if it illustrates ground crew uniforms but it may be worth a look.

Try this website: http://www.ospreypublishing.com

Click on World War 2. Go to the "Men at Arms" section and to to the 2nd or 3rd page and there is a book on Luftwaffe pilots and ground crew. These books are informative and have good color illustrations.
I couldn't find any books there on RAF crews but there is at least one book on different WWII RAF squadrons.

I hope this helps, best of luck!

About painting pilot figures...

Well... I build 1/72 aircraft kits, but I've never built them with pilot figures... Now, I have an unfinished Vickers Wellington Mk X, and I'll attach the two pilot figures provided with the kit, the problem is that the painting guide is not so accurate... I want to know exactly how to paint this RAF pilots (uniforms, flying suits, etc.), I also want to know, in the same way, how to paint German crew... for my Do-217K-2... many thanks...
