Painting Uniforms?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, February 13, 2005 12:12 PM
Hey everyone.
I was wondering how you all paint camo uniforms. I tried it a few times before, but I can't get the small curves to look right. I tried using that as a base, and painting around it, but I didn't have luck with that either. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Practice, practice, practice.
What you might want to do is get a copy/picture of the pattern you want to replicate. Then, using sheet stock, note cards, whatever, practice doing the pattern there. When you see the pattern looking good, then paint it on the figure. This is how I did my first tartan.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Snow_Man, I am trying the 2nd Armored Divison in Normandy. I bought the DML kit awhile back. I am going to try it on some scrap and see how good I can get it to look.
Thanks for the help,
