Where do you get glass or acrylic cylinder/bells to cover mini?
Posted by djrost_2000 on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 11:59 PM
Can anyone tell me where you can get those glass or acrylic cylinders/bells that you can protect a miniature with? They look like a straight bell with no curves on the side. Some people use them to display jewelry or watches. Do they come big enough to cover a 1/16 figure/vignette?

Thank you,

Dave

I have seen these for sale at stores such as Michaels. They have a bell shaped cover that fits over a wooden base. Usually found in the doll house sections.

Another option is bell jars from scientific suppliers. You will have to route your own base. They are typically made from Pyrex.

I purchased a a cover/base at Michael's a couple years ago for about $10. It covered, with room to spare, Warrior's American Heroes vignette. so it would cover a 120 mm easily.

Many craft oriented shops carry them. They come in many sizes so you should find one that would work.
