Andrea Miniatures question
Posted by m1a1fan on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 11:28 AM
Has anyone ever tried Andrea Miniatures Color Paint Set II? I'm new to painting figures so I thought this kit might be nice to start with. It comes with paint, WWII figure (german soldier), and full instructions for painting. What do you guys think?

It's sold at Squadron under item # AEP502

Andrea/Vallejo paints are the best acrylics on the market, as far as I'm concerned. Go to http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/ then choose "model color" from the drop down menu and scroll to the bottom for an excellent tutorial on the use of these paints. Once you've used these, you never want to use any others. As an added featrure, they come in those eye dropper bottles that can't spill and keep the paint fresher longer.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I have used one of the kits to paint the medival Knight, I enjoyed it alot. The how to manual that comes with it does leave alot uncovered in my opinion, but you can do it with just a little help on these boards and just patience. Worth the money though, the figures are first rate and so are the paints, I have almost all the andrea paints now for my figures
