Punkrocker 69,

What era are you looking for?? ESCI used to make a set from the Vietnam War. They are hard to find though.

Punkrocker 69,

Here are some sites to try:

www.hobbylinc.com
www.michtoy.com
www.squadron.com

If that doesnt work, try ebay. I know recently I saw the Speical Forces figures from Vietnam on there several times. Just punch in 1/72 in the search field and click on figures and scroll through them. If that fails, contact me via email. I have some of those figures that I might be able to part with. I dont know how many as I would have to check but they are like 15-20 years old. Hope that helps.

CMK makes a Vietnam LRRP (item number 72076) in 1/72 resin but, you have to buy the two helo figures that come with the LRRP. Beautiful figure, comes w/M-16 and large rucksack

The ESCI figs are that soft plastic. I have a hard time cleaning the flash and painting these.

Something to consider are 20mm wargame figures. Lots available of special forces. Check here
http://www.wargamesdirectory.com/html/periods/view.asp?ID=33
scroll down to Figures and pick from the 20mm column.
