My very first Godzilla kit was the good ol' Aurora model, of which I've had four of since the first one dad built for me in 1966, when I was three. Still have all of 'em, too!
My introduction to the Japanese kits was Billiken's Kin-Goji, which I got in the States in 1990.

My website is down indefinitely, but you can see some of my older, poorly photographed stuff at kaijukits.com personal collection section... under "Jim Walsh". The Heisei era Godzilla's that I"ve built up are the G89 kaiyodo (my first kit) and a burning G in water diorama that I did for a friend (based off the Kaiyodo g94). To be honest, there was little variation in the 90's so I didn't feel like building many of those. I built at least 4 of the Kaiyodo G68 (my favorite suit, and a fun kit to build and modify), some for friends... Kaiyodo G54, 55, 64 in 1/250 and 1/200 scale... Billiken Baragon and Wave Crawling Baragon (love that kit!), Atelier vinyl Hedora (adult, crawling, flying, swimming) and the G71 to go with it... Billiken G62, 65, 75, 68... Bill's Kitchen Manda 68 and flying Hedora... Volks MG, Tsukuda G2K, Fujimi Atragon, Kaiyodo vinyl Atragon, and SY3 (vinyl mecha kits??! insane!!!) Aoshima Mogera 57 (.love that guy!)... to name a few... Still working on the Wave Type 66 Maser in 1/87, and converting the General Products papercraft 1/48 maser to styrene... essentially a scratchbuild. Hmm, I think I'm still working on as many kits as I have built! I better not get started on my "bench" list or I'll be here all day!

This winter I spent more time making buildings, both the greenmax urban kits and my own scratchbuilds at about 1/250 or Z scale. I wanted to try to mold them, but it's been very time consuming and I think I'm just going to scrap those plans. I want to expand on my Godzilla vs Manda diorama and turn it into the full Tokyo scene from DESTROY ALL MONSTERS, which is why I'll need much more 1/250 scale buildings...

My current "grail kit" is the Sakai "Big Lift" Monster Zero diorama.... Although the garage kit company to watch IMHO is Resin Chef/Team Ukeke. Awesome stuff, great poses, outstanding detail. I get most of my kits from either xofacto.com, monstersdirect.com or fellow builders selling off their unwanted kits.

Good luck finding the billiken G92, that is very rare but also in high demand. I recently built up the Image Gorosaurus, which is a great kit, and I'm finishing the underside pattern on a Mysterians universe ship (to celebrate the recent MYSTERIANS dvd release here in the US... beautiful print!). Got a Daimos SY-3 that still needs decals and wash, and building up a volks MG74 with red LED flashing lights for a friend...

Hi, kaiju fans!
Jan, I haven't seen the Billiken G92 for sale here in Japan for years and years. I bought it and the Paradise Bio-Goji here in Osaka in 1993. I think the Atelier-G Gamera kits are still available, though. I'll check around!
Thanks for the kind words about my old G's, too! I haven't built one in about 10 years. Sure have bought plenty, though! I recently picked up Billiken's G68 and Mecha-Godzilla, and have been tinkering with and ancient Billiken Gomora for a long time (I'm an Ultraman fan, too!).

Unsc_shipworks, I'd love to see some of your stuff!
