Zvezda makes some good and bad kits, but one thing that they seem to have a good hang of is figures. Their 1/35 WWII figures are outstanding. Very crisp detail throughout. Try www.militaryhobbies.com for a few of their 1/35 figures.
Best of luck.

I've used the Zvezda figure set "Soviet Navy, Black Death." They seemed to be on the same level as Tamiya, but maybe a bit better. The facial features were really nice. I got mine at my local hobbyshop here in the States for about $5. All in all, they're pretty good.

Just wondering if anyone has used the Soviet made figures by Zvezda. How do they compare to others? Like Tamiya for example? I've just ordered several of their model military figure kits in 1/35 and 1/48 scale. Are they available for purchase in the US anywhere? I get the military figure kits then resculpt them to suit my other modeling projects.
