Posted by rebelreenactor on Sunday, April 17, 2005 12:33 PM
hey guys, I have a dio idea in the future i'd really like to add some of those poor young kids into the scene, I think it would add a great effet.

Is there any way I can convert the kids from regular sized figs?O rwill I have to sculpt them?

or better yet, is there a set of them?

thanks

I believe Warriors or Verlinden made some Hitler Youth figs. You could also use some of the ancient Tamiya figures that are undersized and give them accurate to large sized DML helmets, gear and weapons so they look big on them. You could also use Airfix Multi-Purpose figures 1/32 gear, helmets, and weapons to make the figures look smaller and younger.

Good luck.

First you have to indoctrinate their parents into the party. Then a youth group that will prepare them for the Hitler Youth. Then get the media, teachers, politicians, to drive home the message. Control what they watch, hear, do and then give them something to hate........Wink [;)]Big Smile [:D]

Warriors has this one

I think your best bet would be to do some conversions. Cut a section out of the legs to make them a bit shorter and cover them with great coats. As was suggested using some oversized helmets (say 1/32 with 1/35) will help. But the quikest way is to shorten the arms and legs, with the oversized equip and when you fill in the cut out sections, add some extra folds to make the clothes look a little big.

Have you seen "Der untergang", a german movie from 2004?
It's about the last day's in Berlin. Besides being a very good movie, it also contains action scenes which might inspire you.
Be warned though, it's not a "light" action movie. When I went to the theater to see it everybody that came out was silent, thinking about what they just saw...
