Its been far too long...

Too long since I had anything close to being finished so I could share it with you. I hate it when work interferes with my hobby. Well, here is my latest project, almost finished. You are looking at Andrea miniatures "Chuckwagon" kit, built straight out of the box, and painted with acrylics and oils. I just need to add a few other details and some touch up work here and there. Your comments and criticisms are always welcomed. (I have a very thick skin).Smile [:)]

Amazing work you've got there. What scale and materials is the kit? Flesh tones and faces are just something that I dread, but yours look really good. The poses seem realistic and well thought out. Good looking dio, thanks for showing it to us.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Thanks guys. LemonJ, to answer your questions, Andrea makes their miniatures almost exclusively in white metal, and the whole kit is made from white metal (which I think is a combination of pewter and lead). Yes, it's very heavy. It's also a 54 mm, or 1/32 scale diorama. I use humbrol enamels as an undercoat for the fleshtones, and then add Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna artist's oils for the shadows. Highlights are done with very small dots of Titanium white, blended in. I'm glad you liked it.
