Please help me with Frankie

I need to re-glue this 1964 Aurora 2 foot snap together model. The little snap notches that snap into the holes are broken off and one of the legs won't align at all. I tried 5 minute epoxy and tied the two leg parts together until dry and they still seperated from each other. I plan on stripping and re-painting this model. Can some explain step by step what I need to do? Also what the best type of glue to use for holding plastic together?.

Kind of surprized the Epoxy didn't work. Not knowing what type of plastic it is, I'd suggest using CA (Super Glue).

What you need to do is add styrene tabs to one half of the legs, like the vacuform builders do. Either seveal smaller ones or a large one should do the trick. Superglue or epoxy the first one(s) in place. Make sure the glue is fully set, then attach the other part. The increased surface area provided by the tabs should hold him together well. You may still need to use filler to eliminate any seams.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Where can I find these styrene tabs ? Would the hobby shop have them?
