One comment tho... shouldn't the desert goggles be tinted? I was wondering the same when I saw the other pics in the big A.

Hi Tarok,

Thanks for the compliments. As far I know, the goggles were not tinted. See attached image.

I'll post some more pics, as the vignette progresses.

Cheers

I managed to finish the model last weekend, and here's the end result.

I'm planning to make a little vignette with Rommel standing next to a steel oil drum being used as a table, with a map and a coffee mug on it.

Please, all comments and critiques welcome. As this is my first figure model, I would really like to improve where I can.

Cheers
Quintin

You can enhance the shadow area & add a liitle more realistic appearance by dry drushing some highlites using a lighter shade of the base color. You only want to hghlite the top of folds in the clothing.

Hey all

I'm busy building my first figure, the Tamiya 1/16 Feldmarschall Rommel.

I airbrushed the basecoat, and added the shadows by lightly blotching a darker shade and blending it in. Everything done in enamels.

Now, would you think the shadows are deep enough, or should I add more shadows? I know the body is a bit shiny, but I'll fix that after everything else.

All comments welcome!
