Mini-review, Trumpeter's new 101ST ABN OIF figures

I recently received the new Trumpeter 101st ABN OIF figures.

They look pretty good. Molding looks to be better than thier USMC OIF figures. Poses look good as well. The laying figure and standing figure with arm extended are in JS-LIST chem suits and have the hoods molded on them as well. Heads are a little weak on detail and will need replacing. The weapons are a big plus. You get the same four that came in the USMC set (1 each M16A3 with front pistol grip and scope, M16A2, M249 SAW, & M203) and an additional 2 M4s with scopes, one with front pistol grip and Pac-4 laser-dot site as well. They also come with full gear and pouches for IBA vests. They look like they will turn out pretty nice. I haven't assembled them yet, so I can't attest to fit and how well they go together though. They do look to be a better quality than their USMC OIF figures. Hopefully, Trumpeter will do more modern figure sets and they will continue to improve in quality.
