Hey Monk actually a little yellow or bown would help-I know he's aiming the weapon but keep the darker sclera (with yellow or brown at the top and bottom of the eyes. It's a subtle thing but the eyes are the window to the soul-That's why I have none. And don't forget the iris and pupil (iris will be small in bright light).

Dan

PS-I'm an unemployed Art Director-can't you tell. Keep up the good work.

Hey, that's pretty neat! I didn't realize anything like that was available.

You did a really nice job.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Rob, The kit went together fairly easily. The biggeest hassle was the pour block on the two choices of headgear. Lot's of time with a razor saw and file on that one.

trowl: thanks for the tips. I was kind of worried about just that. I'm not sure how to best fix it, because when I made the eye darker, the shadow cast by the brim of the helmet absolutely swallowed all the detail of the eye. I think I overdid it the other way, trying to make sure you could "see" him aiming. Would a greyer tint in the work better?

nice work, I have that kit also, but haven't worked on it. How was it to build?

Love WWI subjects-Michael Roberts stuff look good-is it metal? My only criticism is one that I see often-down-play the eyes. Not too open or too white-very few of us keep our eyes fully open or have white sclera. Otherwise-terrific job-love the lanyard for the pistol.

I finished this about a month ago, and have been meaning to post pictures. Third large scale figure I've completed, and I would love all feedback and criticism on how to improve. It's a Michael Roberts 120mm and painted with a mixture of oils and acrylics. Shading done with pastels. Thanks for taking a look, and I look forward to suggestions and comments! Happy 4th!!!!!

And lastly my obligatory cheesy BW edit:
