Posted by Anonymous on Monday, July 25, 2005 3:43 PM
Can someone tell me where to get 1/72nd cale luftwaffe WW2 Hangers or airfield tarmac pieces? If not that then can they give me pointers on building one?

You could try Verlinden for your Hangar or alternatively you could scratch one. The advantage to sratching one is you canmake it exactly what you want, not restricted by a manufacturers perceptions.

For the tarmac you will find that model railroad stores generally stock a wide range of different colored scatters, you should be able to find something suitable.

Thanks alot, hopefuly this is going to be a diorama of what a typical HO 229 might have looked like if it ever got into service (had 3 prototypes that flew extremly well)

Nope, Verlinden had no hangers. They had some very nice others though so im going to keep that name in mind, so thanks. As for scracthing it, how would i go about this? I have been building models for about 5 years but this will be my first real dio BTW. I used a premade base a while back with a 1/32nd Sherman for just a fun look.
