What era uniforms are you looking for?

If you are looking for modern, I use the following:

Woodland Camo BDUs.
MM Medium Green overall, Leather or a Chocolate brown large squiggles, MM SAC Bomber Tan for khaki squiggles, MM Flat Black for black squiggles.

Desrt Combat Uniform (DCU).
MM Sand (FS33531) overall, MM SAC Bomber Tan for large khaki-green squiggles, Leather or Chocolate Brown for brown shadows.

Here are a couple articles on how to do them as well.

For Vietnam era, I use MM Medium Green overall. You can also use Dark Green and OD Green for variation as well.

For WWII and Korean wars, shades of OD Green, Medium Green, and khaki are good. Ther was a lot of uniform variation then and I am by far not an expert on these eras.

I was watching the History Channel yesterdat(forget which program) and noticed at least 3 different colors of uniforms(same type) in one marching unit, film was in color, so a little variety in colors can we used.

ddayomaha,

Check out www.atthefront.com too. They're a film/reenactor supply vendor for reproduction WWII equipment and uniforms, both Axis and Allied. They have extensive photos of the color variations in US WWII gear and uniforms as well as great reproduction stuff. I've got some of their gear and I've been very happy with it.
