Excellent work. Despite the bizarre fantasy look, she appears quite lifelike and very believable.

It certainly is an interesting look you've given her. Please don't take this wrong and it's merely a suggestion, but you might want to study pics of the animal whose skin your attempting to 'capture.'

As an artist that sculpts in metal, I've occasionaly given some of my undersea creations their paint schemes by studying closely lots of reference pictures before and as I apply the color.

For instance, look at the these spots on the coat of a leopard...Note the random and broken pattern.:

With all due respect, I feel that the pattern you've painted is a little too consistent and if it had been broken up as the leopard pattern is, it would have gone a long way in looking more natural. No offense...just my My 2 cents [2c]

Cheers!

Pretty interesting. I don't know how well aestetically it looks, but the quality of the paint job is superb.

This was a bit of a test peice for me. I have wanted to attempt doing an abnimalistic skin for a female figure for a while now. This kit seemed a good pose so went for it. At first when I started spraying the spots on it looked like she had the measels and I wondered what on earth I'd done to my lovely apricot base coat. But, I kept spraying coat upon coat (about 20 in the end) and as they started to get bigger and darker I felt I was getting somewhere. I took some of her hair away, took off her eye patch and sculpted another eye in place and went for the sword option in her lowered hand (there was also an option with her holding a severed head). I also scylpted my own breast cover that allowed more of her skin to be seen. Next up, if I can find a good kit, I'd like to try a tiger stripe pattern....no, really!

p.s. I completely stole the idea for the name from Francois Verlinden military diorama.
