Thanks guys. You're replies are appreciated. I'll enjoy investing in some decent bottles of wine, just to get the lead foil off the neck of course.

Wine bottle foil, straight edge, #11 blade and super glue for 1/35 straps, slings, belts, etc.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I usually use lead foil to make the straps on either 1/35 and 120mm.
I apply them directly to the weapons of the 1/35 soldiers, while I make some buckles to attach them to the 120mm ones.
As I mentioned in an earlyer post you can find PE kits with buckles & straps in both scales.

Hello out there,
just got back into modelling after about 25 years and would like to start building up some figures (especially Fallschirmjager). What do people use for the rifle straps and how do you go about attaching them to the weapons. Does this involve making tiny clasps/buckles or is there an easier way? Your answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
