WWI miniatures
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, September 5, 2005 4:47 AM
Hello all

I am going to go the WWI 1/72 scale route. Not only for the hobby of painting etc, but also for the gaming component.

I did a search first and nobody seems to have asked or talked about this particular era, with regard to miniature soldiers.

Just wondering can anyone point me to any literature they may have used (or that I may be able to use) for the uniforms, also maybe recommend any sites or books.
I'm looking at the Renegade miniatures at this stage, shopping around over here in Australia, bit thin on the ground though at this stage. Any recommendations from anyone in Oz? Hobbyco has a bit of a range, but not any Renegade, just the standard Airfix, Dragon etc.

thanks

Hi Thaiboxer
Airfix do a WW1 tank that is usable by both sides and also had some WW1 soldiers in their range.
PocketBond also make British and German tanks of the period.
There was/is a company called Scale Link in the UK that make tanks soldiers and equipment.
I think that Zvesda from Russia make trucks and maybe tanks that you could use.
