Help needed (about a German figure)
Posted by Zero Enna on Sunday, September 25, 2005 1:34 AM
As you know the Italeri Panzer I comes with one figure, it's a man in an overcoat... well my figure is almost finished... but there is something that I haven't painted yet... There is one thing upon each shoulder that I don't know how to paint I don't know how they are called in english, sorry... but I think it denotes the soldier's rank... Any help will be appreciated... Thanks in advance.

What specifically about it do you need to know?

I could try to explain it, but I think a website will be of more use.

If I recall, the figure that comes with that kit represents an early war tanker, with the old tanker beret. and the great coat.

The waffenfarbe, the thin piping, or border around the rank strap, for the Panzer troops was pink.

Be careful with your choices here, the link above is showing you Wehrmact (Army) ranks and cyphers, not panzergruppen(Tank Army). Shoulder cyphers are different and collar tabs are totally different.
