Sawdeanz,
As above, the uniforms are basically the same. For Scottish Regiments, the shoulder flash would be the only difference. When it comes to head gear, the Scottish lads sometimes wore their Glengarry bonnets - the soft ones with a pom pom on the top - instead of tin hats. However, in a fierce battle, tin hats offer more protection than a soft bonnet........
Hope this helps.

Scotland is part of the United Kingdom(same country) and would use the same unifroms, equipment, etc as did most of the other Commonwealth nations Canada Austrilia, New Zealand as while as troops from Occuopied Counrties that fought from Engalnd

Differences between Scottish and British Uniforms in WWII

Hey everyone, i have a box of 1/72 Revell Figures. On the box it says they are Scottish Infantry. It includes some figures in trenchcoats(wintercoats, whatever you call them) and some figures in desert uniforms. To me the British and scottish desert uniforms look the same, and they have the same weapons and are from basicaly the same area. Excuse me for my lack of the knowledge of Britain and Scotland, but do they have the same uniforms? The reason i want to know is because i want to build a diorama with a british matilda tank and want to add the figures to the diorama. Can i use the Scottish infantry in place of the British infantry? Thanks for your help, cause this confusing me. i may just have my armies mixed up or something. Here are some pictures of the box and one of the figures i painted. Thanks again for your help.
