1:24 vietnam huey crew figures - source?
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 11, 2005 7:17 AM

I am trying to source any possible figures that could go with a vietnam era huey helicopter I am building. They do not have to be pilots, but in fact maintenance men would be more appropriate as I am opening the engine up in a maintence-style diorama.

As of yet I have found no sites that do 1:24 scale figures at all as it is a rare size.

Can anyone help?

Doug

I do not know of any military figures in that scale, may want to find civilian firgures and do some conversion on them

Check out some 70 or 75mm figures. IIRC, that's about 1/24th scale. I'm not sure how many Vietnam era figures are out there in those scales though. Most of the figures I've seen in those scales are ancient world and medieval subjects.

Thought as much, are there any particular sources on the web that you could point me toward?

Thanks

Tamiya does some race car drivers and pit crews in 1/20 scale. You may be able to modify them.  They have racing helmets on that could be modified to look like hleo crew helmets as well.  Good luck, not much out there in 1/24 figures, especially military ones.
