Need instructions for DML WWII US tank crew
Posted by zokissima on Thursday, December 22, 2005 1:06 PM

I got these kit figures included with a M32 that I bought recently, but the seller didn't include the instructions. If anyone is able to help me, I'd be very grateful.

Below is the figure kit I'm speaking of..

I think I might have them lying around, but do you really need them? Assembly is pretty straight forward. The pictures on the front and back show pretty much how they go together. The most complicated part is the tanker helmets, which have the ear flaps and the part that protects the back of the neck. But those parts really only fit one way, so a little test fitting should be all that's necessary.

I just found the box and it occurred to me that there may not actually be instructions for that kit. You'll notice that the part numbers are shown on the back of the box, next to the corresponding parts, making the pics on the back effectively your instruction sheet.

Sorry, I missed the crucial detail in your post that the figures came with another model. I'll scan the back of the box and post it for you.

I built the same figures and added them to a Tamiya M4 Sherman but a word of warning you have to hollow out the hands on the figures holding the Jerry Can ,Hand Microphone ,and the Colt 45 so that they are actually holding them which actually makes them more realistic.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

Thank you very kindly, for the scans and for the advice. The figures look great, can't wait to have them in the dio.

THanks a million.

You mention an M32 in your request for instructions of figure assembly.  Is this M32 a tank recovery vehicle and if so what is the manufacturers name .  I've been looking for this kit and can't find one.

Italeri is the only one I'm aware of.

I have the kit, but have only built the figure holding the .45.  I simply trimmed off part of the .45 to make the figure "hold" the weapon.  Ignore the gloss on the figure pic.  It's been corrected since this pic was taken.

M32 is made by Italeri, there are a couple on eBay now.

well it was actually a piece of cake to drill out the hands since all I had to drill was a couple small holes and use a knife to clean up and the gun slid in nicely. same with the figure holding the microphone

Yes indeedey, it is the recovery vehicle, and as others have pointed out, its the Italeri offering. They usually come up here and there on e-Bay. However, Italeri is reissuing the kit this year (or they allready have) so your LHS may get them. Check Squadron and Greatmodels as well.
