OIF Infantrymen
Posted by HeavyArty on Sunday, February 5, 2006 3:13 PM

Here are 5 OIF infantrymen that will go in a dio with the M2A2 ODS for a customer.  I used the older DML ODS era figures and replaced their torsos with casts of modern, IBA-clad torsos.  The 3ID patches and flags are hand painted.  Camelbak emblem it a decal I made. Here they are.

Thanks.  Small brushes and a steady hand.  Lots of practice too.

I think I've bumped into those guys in my travels...wait, those are 1/35 figures!?!?

Seriously, those are some excellent figures, HeavyArty.  Now you'll have to try your hand at some OIF/OEF Marines in digi camo!

A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Looking good HeavyArty! I really like how the Camelback came out.

Since you have such a good hand why don't you try shading and highlighting  the figures' uniforms. I'd give them more depth. My 2 cents [2c]

Sorry, had to save bandwidth on Photobucket.  They are the figs that went into my M2A2 OIF "On Patrol" dio.  Check here to see it: http://photobucket.com/albums/v231/HeavyArty/OIF%20Dio%20%20%20%20%20On%20Patrol/

p.s. we bought the cadpat softwear from the swede's, or was it the dane's?

Any thing can be fixed with enough gun tape and para cord

Didn't see the completed dio, yet.

LOOKS GREAT!Thumbs Up [tup]

Regarding digi camos of all kind I was thinking to make decal sheets in the right scale to put onto the figures, just like VP did have the camo sheets for the Waffen-SS overcoats.
