Nice.  I especially like the how the depth is perceived on the first one by having the tail blurred.  Must have been hard on such a small model.  I like the second one better actually, but it's probably just my preference on the subject matter.  Good job!

I particularly like the WWII GI.  The pose, coloring and lighting all come together very nicely.

Am going to ask the stupid question... How tall is the figure?

actually it's easier to blur such a small figure.  the depth of field when using macro mode is very small.  to get the tail in focus, in other pics, i had to use something like f/29!

not stupid at all.  the figure is about 77mm tall. the Series 77 minatures, which came out in the 1980's was really fantastic.  They mostly covered US wars but there were a few non-US figures including an Austrian napoleonic figure.
