I am creating the log bat which is in the GameCube game MLB Slugfest 20-04. You can get this bat in the game with a cheat code. The plan is to create the bat and make a showcase for it. I will try to make a creative way of displaying the bat.
The bat in the game is a baseball bat that is half carved from a big log.
I am modeling this with scupley , i started with a big bolt i got at the store and used it as the base to which i would attach the clay. I first started by covering the bolt in clay then built up the bottom area where the log part was to be. The hard part was getting the log part to stay still while i was working on it. Also to keep the same size all around was tricky. As it is now its alittle off center. After i baked it i primed it and also added a base coat of paint to the model. I did this to see what its looking like.I plan on going back and "re-modeling" parts of the bat. The handle and the smoothness needs some work.
The log part turned out pretty well. i added some details to make it look like a log. I did a basic scuplt and going to be adding details with paint and putty.
