S.W.A.T figure
Posted by joelrydh on Saturday, January 13, 2007 7:09 AM

Hi guys!

On a recent visit to the USA I saw a figure of a SWAT officer on a desk at the local police station. I think it was about 6 inches high, perhaps less... It looked really cool and I would love to try to recreate one myself. The problem is I haven't done figures before and I don't know where to look for such a figure. I've done some basic google searches but without luck.

Does anyone happen to know of any SWAT figures and where to find them?

best regards

Joel

Smile [:)] I assure you, Steve, the visit was purely pleassure.

Looking at the ones on Hobbybunker I find myself mistaken on the scale. The one I saw was much bigger. Are there other sizes? I'd say it must have been up against 20 centimeters (8 inches) if I compare to those you found.

Yeah, if was a "model" and not an action figure, that sounds like 120mm - 200mm or 1/16 scale... try searches in that size.

Verlinden do some S.A.S. figures. I suppose someone with a bit of modelling skill could have converted them to S.W.A.T. figures. Just a thought.

Sol made three different SWAT figures in 120mm (1/16th) which is about 4 to 5 inches tall.  They are tough to find in US ( I am looking and have not found them) but could be ordered directly from manufactor in Korea.  Verlinden also made a 120mm SWAT many years ago and it is also hard to find.  Dragon made a couple of 150mm (1/12) size plastic kits years ago, I haven;t seen many, in fact have only seen one that I was able to get from a fellow in Canada about 5 years ago.  They are the same as the 1/35 Hong Kong swat figures Dragon put out.  There may be others but I can't recall now. Good Luck

Didn't think of that earlier, but did the figure look like my avatar?

It's an action figure (approx 1/6) by Blue Box Toys ltd. Other companies that make decent SWAT action figures are 21st Century Toys and Hot Toys. Latter makes reeeeeeaaaaally good figures.

As for plastic model figures all I know of have been quoted.
