Scale blood colour

Can anyone help please, whats the best colour to to show blood on 1/35 figures. Working on a group of three, one of which as received leg wounds and is being dragged away to safety.

Blood darkens very quickly when exposed to the air.  The best color is a very dark red to almost black-brown.  Also, less blood is better.

By the way, unless its dried blood or soaked into fabric, you could paint on a thin coat of future, or other clear glossy coat.  Not sure if gloss is realistic at that scale, but it definately looks better.  Also, if its soaked into his pant leg (since its a leg wound) it would be a darker color i think.

Agreed!

When it comes to blood, less is more.  Dark red-brown on sand in scale will look good.

Also, take itout and look at it in sulight, it will look totally different in differnt lighting.
