Human Eyeball Decals anyone ?
Posted by Carves on Monday, February 12, 2007 11:09 AM

Hi Guys,

I was just browsing Archer Transfer Decals site and saw this.... 1/35 Human Eyeball Decals ?

Their website said "Human iris water slide decals suitable for figures from 4mm (1/32, 1/35) to 150mm scale. Five different colors, haded or unshaded and with or without white hot pots. Enough to do 200 figures. (Formerly EZEYES.1) "

Has anyone ever tried this ?

I've never tried them, but I saw several figures with them at the IPMS Nats in 2002. I thought they gave the figures a very doll like appearance. Also, since they are completely round, you're going to have to carefully paint the eyelid over the top half to get a realistic look and be ever so careful to align them perfectly.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Ive got tthem, they are great. You may need to cut a slice off so it will fit underneat the eyelid, but if you are just into painting eyballs or are needing to cut some time off, this isone way to go. you get a myriad of sizes, and Archer also has a full line of larger eyes for big figs as well as Anime and Reptilian / inhuman eyes.

I also have Archers tattoos.....very cool!

Wow, two completely different opinion.

Now I'm confused.... to buy, not to buy, to buy, not to buy...

Thanks for your input.

They don't look good to me either, if that means anything to you.

yeah and thats not even going down the which glue / putty do you like route!

Ive painted plenty of eyes in all scales, 28MM is my current kick (see my Sophie circa Oct this past year).  If your going to use them youneed to slice them down to fit and stick to the darker shades.

Well, if I have to slice decal that small aready for my 1/35 scale figure, I guess I'll pass.

Last time I visited a craft store in Singapore, I found a really small all surface marker (0,05). I think that is small enough to make eye balls(s).
