Thanks for all the different replies guys!

I knew I would latch onto something here :D What Im looking to do is take my Tamiya 1/35 WWII German bike, have it rebuilt as a 'static display" type thing, such as you see at airshows, and have civs checking it--and a very stiff static mannequin dressed in period uniform (should be easy, with all the figs out there!)--pehaps with a kid spilling ice cream on the seat orsomething along those lines.

thanks for the heads up, got my research setfor the weekend!

David

Look at the Azimut Productions figures, they have many civilian figures in 1/35. Go to the Great Models site where there are linked and see it there are any that may interest you.

Hi there,

I'm going to throw something different in the works..Does the scale have to be 1/35?If not you could think about the figures from Preiser in 1/32 .They have a large range of various figures which might suit your needs. Here's a link to some examples of some of the figures:

You can take just about any soldier figure and shave the shirt pockets off, extend the pantlegs with some putty, swap out the head for a full one with hair, and paint then up to look civilian.  I have done this a couple times and have also seen it done many times.  I painted one guy up nice with a loud Hawaiin shirt that looked really good.

I believe there may be a news cameraman in civilian attire somewhere and there used to be a Palestinian ibn jeans, sneakers and t-shirt (scarkf on head and AK in his hand) that would be workable. Most other figurs are form the 40's or so. There are a couple Israeli female soldiers who could be made into civilians relatively easily. Do a search at http://www.redlancers.com/ for civilian and you shuld get a pretty good listing of any civilian figures.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Is there such a thing as a 1/35 tourist figure that anyone knows of? Well, it does not have to be even a "tourist"  as such, just a modern (70's onward) civilian figure. male or female, preferably fairly easy to convert to someone in typical daily attire.

Know of such a thing?
