Stikpusher, I just stared at this photo for about twenty minutes:

I base painted Vallejo mix of Khaki Grey and English Uniform, painted in Chocolate Brown, came back with Olive Green in and around brown, spots in / around that with German Camo Bright Green, lightened that with white and stippled spots. It's kinda bright, but my stuff always ends up dark somehow. I figured I'd over-compensate the brightness.

Thanks for looking, guys.

I prefer the lightest green to be less tan than you have it, but it may just be preference. There  should be less difference between the light and medium greens, but I think the pattern itself is accurate and very well balanced.

For every modeling technique that works, I have three that don't.

sharp!  Only thing I'd point out is I'd look at the arm and cuff on the right side.  There are a couple of bright bright green spots that seem to be linking up to form a bit of a blob.  Could be camera angle or lighting, don't know.

Did you go at the dots with a brush or a tooth pick??

Well, I saw the finished Dio in another thread.  You can ignore my comment about the bright green blob, because I didn't see it there.  Must be the old eyes or the cheap color monitor.

 Nice work.

Looks pretty good to me Thumbs Up [tup]

There were so many different color version patterns for the SS smocks and helmet covers. I have one which is of the 5/6 oak pattern that has black blotches in the cloth that I than model my figures on. I have seen smocks with purple and violet colors, looks odd as all blazes, until one re-enactment battle I was in, a person wearing one popped up from the brush 10 feet from me and I did't see him at all.

Here's an example of a 5/6 oak pattern on my parka.
