The two figures looks pretty good! I seen this figure set in a hobby shop yesterday but it seems an odd pairing to me. I'm thinking Rommel would be better matched with a DAK officer/ enlisted man.

Individually, the figs look pretty good. I wouldn't display them together, since the infantryman's uiniform suggest late fall/early winter and the sturmgewehr puts him in 1944. Rommel died 14 October 1944.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I think the two figures are paired by the manufacturer to represent Rommel's later, Normandy posting... although the author has chosen to paint him with his tropical tunic.

Many thanks for your kind comments and compliments on the figures! I think Tamiya paired these two together in the same box because both were scaled down from their 1/16 ones. For historical accuracy I shouldn't have taken them picture side by side like this, but due to limited film frames, only two frames could be allocated to these two figures. If taken separately, I could take only one picture each.
