Junk to Gem - Re-Using Scrap Kit for Vignette
Posted by gburdon on Thursday, October 25, 2007 6:19 PM

Hello All

Just a quick preview of my current project. Our club took on the challenge of picking through a scrap kit pile and finding use for the bits and bobs in the box.

I dug out a 1/32 scale Spitfire that was missing a ton of pieces but the nose and one wing were fairly intact. The prop was missing one blade.

I had in my stash a 1/32 scale figure I picked up on eBay or somewhere of RAF Pilot "Ginger" Lacey. and rather than paint and pose it on its own I decided to use the bit of the Spitfire kit that was salvaged from the scrap bin.

I will post more as the build progresses. Just a different way to re-use old kits or bits thereof.

Enjoy.

Cheers;

Gregory
