Warped resin pieces

Is there a way to straigthen resin parts?, I recently acquired a figure depicting a roman cavalry officer, and the sword is slightly curved.Sad [:(]

I was thinking of using heat to try and "soften" the material, but I'm not sure it'll work...

place the part under warm water and straighten it.

The best way is to place it in warm water as above, but it might help to use a flat piece of wood as a straight edge to press the sword against once it is a little soft, this will make sure you do not over bend it or make it wavy. Also once warm and soft (and straight) run it under cold water while holding it against the flat piece of wood, this will ensure it cools straight and doesn't warp warp again while cooling.
