Wehrmacht troops and horses
Posted by Mattcooke on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 12:09 PM
Hi guys, I'm busy with a new diorama in 1/35 and am looking for some figures suited for my diorama. I'm looking for some Wehrmacht walking, some sitting. I also need a figure that could man a cart. Of course I need a cart manned with two horses. Is there anything out there like this? One more thing time is June 1944 in Normandy. If you have anything that I could use, please tell me. Willing to pay for it. If there's something else that isn't really clear just ask. Thanks in advance, Daniel :)

Tamiya makes a field kitchen which is two limbers...no horses in the set though...I believe Esci or Italeri used to make a German "horse drawn set"...also DML and Tamiya both have injection-molded fig sets that contain horses; VLS/Verlinden also carries the same, but in resin...

Here's a single horse cart

And one that could be adapted to two horses

The first is by Adelbertus and the second by Street of Laredo. Both are available from Military Miniatures Warehouse.

I believe the DML kits that had horses and limbers are OOP. They can still be found on eBay and if lucky in your LHS.
