I am not sure what I am going to get, i think i am going to start with a bust, should be quite the learning experience.

I will deffinetly make sure I don't make it on Lancer's deadbeat page, lol !

Perhaps the largest selection of figures is available at The Red Lancer. There are always a good number of kits on sale and service is excellent. I've gotten shipments in 2 or 3 days.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto].  I'm giving my first 54mm figure a try, and although I'm happy with how it's soming out, I'm glad I decided to go with a cheap "test" figure, instead of buying one of those $40+ figures from the better known manufacturers.

I would suggest ebay, get the cheapest busts you can.  The only reason I say this is because your first couple of "builds" will be test beds to improve your technic.  After you've improved any of the larger online (squadron, great models etc.) sites have lots of busts to choose from.

Hello all, I am mostly a naval and sci-fi modeler, however I have always been facinated with larger figures and busts.

I am wondering if anyone could point me to some sites where I could look into ordering a figure and / or bust.

I am somewhat hesitant in doing this as I know when it comes to faces I basically can't paint them however I know if I get something at a decent price I can practice on until my skills improve. It took me a long time to get where I am with my other modelling and I know it's going to take allot of trial and error, but I really would love to become at the very least a moderate to good bust painter.

Cheers
