I have this that I started a little time ago. Its an old figure from Andrea Miniatures which has kind of been superseded by Pegaso's new figure, its not particularly one of the best, but it does have some charm for me.

As you can see i've started with the metallics which was Vallejo Alc-based Old Gold. I've also added some cord details so that he can hold onto his shield! Big Smile [:D]

Great work on the metalics.  Should be another stunner.

Thanks, Rick.

This figure will have a white tunic with a red hem, so i've basecoated it with Vallejo 989 Sky Grey...

Great work so far. As a person who has never really succesfully painted figures in any scale, what paints would you recommend? Valleo seem to be the modellers choice but what else if any do you use?

Thanks, dude.

I use Vallejo Model Colour, Citadel metallics, and Vallejo alcohol based metallics. The Vallejo alc-based metallics I personally consider to be the best ever, the paint will make armour look like the real thing.

Stunning. Paul, gotta say, you always make me want to throw my paints in the trash.

Glad to see you back.

Thanks, Steve.

Got some more stuff painted on this dude, although I still need to highlight the shield. The arms and armour are all painted with Vallejo alcohol based metallics, bar the silver part of the helmet which was painted in Citadel metallics.

Simply beautiful painting.

I showed this one to my wife (who is usually very "wow, that's nice. So, anyway... ), and she was quite speechless. Just thought I'd pass that on.
