Is it possible that these figures jackets could of been worn during 1944 in the Normandy area as rain gear instead of snow gear?

Personally, I wouldn't try to make them  look identical. First, you'll never do it. Second, each garment was made from several differnt pieces of cloth, so the pattern would vary from one garment to another anyway.
