The Polish forces were supplied in British/Commonwealth fashion as Greg pointed above with the dark grey berets. The Polish airborne troop wore a British kit as did the infantry, armor and other land forces. A good book on the subject is "Poles Apart" which is out of print right now.
It was in 1940 that the Polish troops started to train in England and Palestine alongside British troops so it was natural to follow the British fashion. Polish ground forces alone on the Western Front numbered close to 195,000.
