                        SITREP...

                        Just staring work on Kangnam's AH-64D in 1/35th scale. Pulling all the stops and working with Eduard's interior and exterior detail kits. Would like to get a better crew, in full flight gear, to pose with the kit when done. Anyone have any sources to look at? I'm not a good scratch figure builder and I'd like to avoid that extra pain if at all possible but I recognize the fact I may have to in the long run.

                        Understand Kangnam's D kit has some problems (e.g., no ADS on engine pylons) that need adjusting. Assume I'll have to build those also. If people know about any other after market kits to cover areas Eduard's kits miss, I'd appreciate feedback.

                        Appreciate any help or info y'all can provide.

                        dragon do a Helicopter flight crew but its based on Vietnam

                        If you head over to the helicopter forum you'll see that helo crews are a pain in the ****** for many modellers.
                        The Dragon Kit was the best around but it's out of production so you'll hardly find it.
                        A czech company CMK makes a crew for the 1/35 Blackhawk. For the momenti this is the only available kit ; it's not the best but it's the only one.
                        Another company Night-Flight models is working on a set of pilots. If I understood correctly you will be able tho choose from various positions and heads in order to "customize" your crew. Looks very promising.Wink [;)]

                        Just noticed that Military Hobbies has the Vietnam Heli Crew from Dragon back in stock, kit #3311.

                        Guys,

                        Thanks for the info. The modern Army flight crew has more gear and foundation than the earlier Dragon kit. I'd still like to get the Dragon kit but not with an AH-64D setting.

                        I've heard that Night Flight is working new items but they've not been released yet.

                        Appreciate the quick turn on info. Trying to build this thing for my best friend who commanded the 11th Aviation Regiment in Iraq.
