Would the Germans still wear the long field grey uniform in 1944. The ones like this.

I don't know exactly, but some officers did atleast use it troughout the war..  If it was for enlisted men, not sure.. but would say so!

Just wait till the expersts comes. :)

The great coats were still being worn at that stage of the war. However most German soldiers now longer wore jack boots but ankle length boots and puttys. Personally i wouldn't use all 4 of these figures in a 1944 setting. I assume your planning either a early 44 project in Russia or something on the weastern or eastern front in late 44.

Yes, but the jack boots were less seen in 44. Also, i think the 4 figures are all wearing early war helmits. I have never been able to see the difference between those and the ones introduced later. Again, they wouldn't be totally out ofplace but for all 4 to be wearing early ones in 44 just wouldn't look right if you know wot your lookig for.

I did see a dio recently with a hetzer in ambush scheme and all the troops had jackboots, M35 tunics and helmit decals, it just looked so silly because of a lack of a little fact checking.

The M35 helmet was used throughout the war. the only thing that really changed was no decals in 1944, eventho' some soldiers even had the decals on their helmet that late. So it all works for me, as long as not everyone of those are in the diorama, not in a group anyways :)
