Hi all, this is an old figure of mine that I just finished up. Its an old tamiya figure with a Dragon head. All comments and criticisms are welcome. I don't care if your critical. It was the last figure I painted with Tamiya acrylics. Now I got the Vallejos ! Thanks for looking,

David

OK, a few critiques:I wont talk about faces, that is an area I struggle in.

As far as the uniform goes:the cuff, collar, and waistband material on his tanker jacket should be an olive khaki shade-they were made from a knit material. If thats a butterbar on the front if his hemet, perhaps a swipe at the top and bottom of the OD base color to sharpen up the corners. On the leggings, the strap that goes under the sole of his shoes should be in the same khaki color as the leggings. Also be mindful of the color line there, your shoe color came up over the edge of the leggings. It looks like you did some shadows and highlights on the uniform-that effect worked pretty well.

Lastly, the build and prep, watch out for mold seams, looks like a couple survived on his  right show and sleeve.

Overall, it looks like a good effort and with a tad more work, your figures will really come to life. Especially if you get away from Tamiya for handbrushing.

Thanks for the comments stikpusher. Thanks for the info on the colors. I won't be able to post for a couple of days because I'm moving to Maryland tommorow.

Thanks,

David
