Roman centurion 1st Cent. AD Complete.

I have this one finished now. I've added a slain Barbarian's shield for a little more interest in the groundwork, it kinda' gives it a command an' conquer feel to it now, I guess.

 Hello FingersEddie,

It appears to me that you guessed right about the C&C. The addition of the shield adds to the overall image. I think you've done a very nice job. I'm new to the figures forum. I've built mainly 1/35 armor. Until last week that is. I've begun treating figures as a project of equal or more importance than the vehicle istself. A great amount of information can be conveyed with the use of a single figure and you have hit the nail on the head, with a sledge hammer! Top Notch work!

 Best Regards,

Looks great, as usual. I am envious at your ability to paint such fine skin tones. What struck me about this build is the ground work...it really helps add to the realism. At the right angle and with the right background, it could easily be mistaken for a photograph of a real setting.

Thanks dude, your totally right. Figures not only breathe life into a dio', but they give a nice aspect to the whole scene, too.

Oh my god, i've jus' spotted Rutherford B. Hayes the american president on the back of my tree stump!!

As always, very nice work.

I'm not sure it's Pres. Hayes, but there is the semblance of a face there.

I think a little more weathering on the woody part of the stump would improve it. If it were mine, I''d give it a wash of Payne's gray of cvan dyke browwn to pick out the textures.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I see a while bunch of faces in that stump. Swamp Thing, an angry wizard...

I have a minor criticism if you are interested?

Come forth and speak unto me your feelings, ill advised or no, I will listen. If you pronounce yourself the devil, then get thee hence varmint, for you shall speak no evil in my lugs, you know your place, get thee hence and suffer your eternal damnation. There will be no restraint offered by my hand, swordwielded and heavy, and with divine countenance and god's strength untold, you shall be smote asunder from your fiery perch! Speak! Speak, damn you! Big Smile [:D]

Sorry Cos', I jus' felt like havin' a laugh, bein' that i'm workin' on my Knight figure. LOL

Oh hell, now ya got me scairt! Shock [:O]

I thought the eyes were a little off, particularly the one on the left side, as you look at the figure.

I was just having a conversation w/ a guy about painting eyes the other day. Seemed cosmic, that's the only reason I mention it.

Otherwise, looks great.

Yeah, its 'cos there is not enough white in the cornea area as compared to the other, or vice versa. I'll get on it right away. Smile [:)]

My hand is stayed and rested at my hip, my sword sheathed betwixt the moment. Oh lord, these demons are numerous, and himself the despicable one, numbered.

*uck me, there I go again, sorry! Big Smile [:D]
