Two New Pieces on Commission
Posted by ajlafleche on Monday, July 7, 2008 8:38 AM

Here are two 54mm pieces I just finished on commission. The first is Andrea's Apache and the second is Romeo's Geronimo. The Apache's rifle barrel will need to be straightened a bit. I previously painted both these figures for myself and frankly like these better! All painting is Andrea/Vallejo with a bit of oil wash in the hair, oh the rifles and on the ground. The cacti are from Pegasus

Those Natives are very good looking. I like tha Apache more for several reasons with one being his gaze. Great job.

Great job.  I really like the shading and the leather.  You sure do paint fantastic ethnic skin tones.  Are these metal or resin? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, guys. They are both white metal.

Being as they both represent people from the Southwest, I pushed a darker palatte for the skin tones than I do with Woodland people. I kind of split the difference on my Plains figures. The two main colors are Vallejo beige red and their games line dark fleshtone with sunny skintone and light flesh added for highlilghts.
