Don ;

 The term " Card " is as applied on the Continent and the U.K. . We here in the good old U.S.A always have called a product by what we thought it should be based on , from it's origin . So we call them " Paper " . They are printed mostly on " Card " style stock though . The lighter weight version . Only here , are some available on simple Typing Paper

 There are some in the U.K. printed on what we would call , file folder stock . The marbled brown no less ! You know how heavy that is !

What is the difference between card and paper?  Is it the thickness of the material?  To me, the terms always meant the same thing.

Hi ;

   Well it's good news I believe . How many want 1/200 warships and just can't cut the price for plastic , plus P.E.Sets ? Here's an alternative . Yup . I was on the " Bay " the other day . I know , lots of you don't like them .

 I cruise there looking for older models of just about everything Plus new stuff from time to time . I Pay Attention to the ad wordings .

  And I peruse the photos diligently . On the " Bay  ", this is essential .If you do and are satisfied with the "Buy It Now " price , You Can find some great deals . I have found some very interesting W.W.2 ships in 1/200 in paper or card ( your preferrence)

   Now, that said  ,you can use the normal channels for detailing , P.E. and the like. They do ( some of them anyway ) offer detail up sets of their own . Plus, on Papermodels International , Website you can find a lot of detail Up marketers !
